Project MudraKrida

Our Mission
The MudraKrida project documents and shares the stories of sexual abuse and rape victims in India.
MudraKrida is one of the Women Empowerment projects of  AarogyaSeva with Jagruthi and BhaaratCares Center for Social Change as partners.
Work and Achievements
MudraKrida is a video play project that gives women and girls, specifically victims of rape and sexual abuse, a forum to express themselves and share their story with the world.
MudraKrida will film and document these women and their stories; then work with an extensive network of viewers and volunteers to share the message that emerges from these films. Our goal in all of this is to provide opportunities for the victims to speak out with confidence and teach them the skills necessary to gain attention for their cause.
MudraKrida, a Sanskrit term that roughly translates to ‘video play’, is a powerful and tangible pathway to the expression of hidden and suppressed emotions in victims of rape and sexual abuse. By featuring in and producing these videos, the project empowers women with leadership opportunities, encourages them to break the silence, and educates them on the power, influence and impact of community media.
As we begin this effort, we are looking for volunteers that can support and participate in this form of storytelling. Contribute in any way you can – time, effort, donations, or connections. To learn more about MudraKrida and find out ways you can be involved, write to us: drdayaprasad99@gmail.com
